    Thought for the day

To look at the world like a child again

I often look at children, and how excited they are of little things. A bug is a wonder, a puddle is a source of joy (because of course you have to jump in it), a dog is the best thing in the world. Playing takes the child into another imaginary world without limitations. And every day is an adventure. A child's heart is full on unconditional feelings.

To see the world though a child's eyes again! To be able to stop completely into a moment, to see its possibilities, its beauty, its excitement! Now there's a goal worth pursuing.

Happiness Journal of a Whale Fountain

This is a photograph of a fountain in the shape of a whale tail. I love the element of water, and whales and dolphins and all marine life. I have spent my whole life by the sea and love its energies - calm or stormy. When we travel, I want to go to and see aquariums (but I do not like dolphins or whales being imprisoned for amusement).

This is one of my favourite fountains ever.

Water somehow calms my mind and boosts my creativity. That's why i think it is a good theme for a Happiness Journal cover.

    Goblin!

I don't recall anymore where I head this story, but it still makes me laugh.

A little child was on a bus with her mother, when a young man stepped into the bus. He was a punk-rocker - his hair was sticking in spikes into every direction, he had made up his eyes with black mascara, had a safety pin through his cheek, a long black coat with chains hanging, and heavy boots.

The little girl looked at him in awe and then whispered to her mother in a loud voice everyone could hear:

    "Look Mummy! A goblin!"

Everyone started laughing. Not exactly the effect the young man was looking for... :D

Do you have a funny story you would like to see published in this letter? An event, what someone said? If so, send me your funny story in an email

(I especially love the funny things children say!).

    Today's Happiness

    Queen Bumble Bee

I love bees. Always have. I've been rescuing them from water, given them sugar water when they are exhausted, helped them get outside from a house. And bumblebees especially are adorable.

Here is a picture of the first bumblebee of the year - these ladies appear in our balcony every spring. I don't know where they come from, but I do know these very first ones are queens that go on building their colony. She made me smile despite the misery of the corona epidemic at the moment. She was a sign that summer is coming, which sure is another thing to make me happy up here in the nirth

So if you see a bumblebee early in the spring, do not kill it. (Or any other time either!) If you do, you are killing a whole colony.
